Go Austin

Hi Everyone... I had my nine month check-up. I am 27 1/2 inches long and weigh 18 lbs and 9 oz. I don't have any teeth yet, but I like to eat fruits and vegetables. I also like eating biscuits and puff. The doctor says I should try some meat so Mom is going to make me some chicken. I can crawl, but I don't lift my tummy off the floor. I like to stand up and I can hold myself if I hang on to the couch or coffee table. I love doing the "he-man" pose when I am happy or excited.

So last night, after putting Austin to bed, I went to go check on him, and he was standing up in his crib! He had managed to pull himself up using the bumper, and was now looking down the hall to see where Mom and Dad were.

so i put him back on his belly and he went back to sleep. A little while later i went back to check on him, and he had managed to sit himself back up, but had fallen asleep in a sitting position (too sad and too cute at the same time.. i'll post pics when i can).

This weekend I went on a road trip to Charlotte, NC to visit Nana and Nani. I didn't get there until late on Thursday night. I was so excited when I got to their house, that I decided I wanted to play until about 1 AM. Nani had balloons all over the house and she set-up three play areas for me. I got to play with so many new toys!

I also learned how to go from sitting to army crawling to sitting back again. Nani got me some biscuits made for babies and I loved chewing on it. I also tried some Indian food, because I am learning to eat real food now. I also loved doing my He-Man pose a lot. I met Nani's friends too.

Mom and Dad took me to the park and I got to go on a swing and I loved it. Mom was swinging next to me too. I also played in the sandbox. Dad buried my feet in the sand. I even tried to eat the sand, it was yucky.

On the way home, we stopped at Cracker Barrel so I could try some of Dad's homeland food. I tried some mashed potatoes, one piece of okra (with the fried part taken out), some cornbread and one piece of macaroni and cheese.

I am so tired now... Good night :)

Today, my Mom and Dad have been married for 5 years! We are visiting Nani and Nana, so Mom and Dad are going out for dinner and a movie while Nani and Nana take care of me. Have a fun evening, Mom and Dad, I love you!

I was really sick last week. I am glad I am better now! I had a fun weekend with my Aunt Denise. We went to the aquarium, swimming, and out to dinner.

I like to move around; I can almost crawl...Mom and Dad are going to have trouble keeping up with me!

I finally get to go to school this week. I missed my friends and can't wait to do some more art projects.

I hope everyone has a great holiday. Mom, Dad and I are spending a quiet day at home :) I am catching up on my sleep...

I had a very exciting weekend... I turned 8 months old. I also got to spend two nights at the Willard hotel (in DC) for my Aunt Mariska's wedding. I met everyone in my family and had fun playing with them. Nana and Nani are here too, and I love having them come stay with me.
