I'm Hungry

This moring I was very hungry. Mom ate a ham and cheese croissant for breakfast. Yum! Afterwards, i did lots of dancing to show how happy i was

i broke it!

As if i was not worried enough about if i could be a good father..

So last night we took a Baby Class that included how-to-change-a-diaper and how-to-give-a-baby-a-bath basics. Each couple got a "baby" to practice with. Before we could even get started, i managed to break the doll's legs off. Great.. so now i can't even hold the baby without hurting it? Yikes!

(don't worry, Austin! Dad will learn!)

i'm trying to sleep in here!

Mom and Dad took me to the doctor's office today. I was trying to take a nap, but everyone kept telling me to move around. First, I could hear Dad telling me to show off some. I was sleepy, so i had a few lazy kicks. Then, Mom drank a bunch of cold water. After the initial shock wore off, i went back to sleep. Next, this crazy nurse put a electric razor on Mom's stomach trying to trick me into moving around, but i am too smart for them - i went right back to sleep. And then, the nurse put her hand on Mom's stomach and tried to twist me around. Come on y'all.. i'm sleeping in here.

Finally, I heard Dad leaving the room, and i didn't want to stay in the hospital without him, so i start doing lots and lots of moving to make these silly people happy. Now, i am going home and finishing my nap =)

I just finished up putting together the last of Austin's things that he got from the shower (well, everything except for his race car set, that he will not need for a while). Last picture is up

I'm Active!

This week I have been very active. I'm growing now. I have been kicking my feet and moving my arms. I am establishing my sleeping and waking patterns. I think mom and dad are in for a surprise because I like to stay awake at night and wake up early!

pictures!

I went back to the doctor's office for more pictures today. My Mom says I am so pretty. The doctor made some nice pictures of me, even though again i tried to hide behind my hands. My face was cute, and my feet were bent in funny directions. My heart was beating good, and i was practicing my breathing, getting ready for my first breath. I finally waved to the camera, because i hear that its makes the photographer go away, so i could get back to sleeping. [Mom was worried the first round of pictures were not accurate and "what if" i were actually a girl.. so the doctor was nice enough to take pictures of my bits.. and yep.. i am a boy!]

Party Pictures

A Party, for Me?

This weekend there seemed to be a big celebration for me. My grandma Patsy planned a great party. I heard a lot of new voices. Everyone was anxious to feel me move inside my mom. I am very excited to meet all my family and see my room. Thanks everyone for making me feel so special. I love you so much.

Baby Shower

This weekend Patsy and Mom had a baby shower for me. I am so lucky that so many family and friends on both sides were able to attend. The shower was wonderful- we had so much fun playing games, opening gifts and of course eating delicious Italian food. Afterwards, everyone came over to see the nursery. Jason, Dad and Lynn put up the quilt rack/shelf. I think it was the last touch the room needed and it looks really great.

Austin has received so many great clothes and toys, but most importantly he has already received so much love from everyone. Jason and I are so excited about his arrival.

Labor Day Weekend

This weekend Jason went to TX for UT football game and to visit his friends. He bought a lot of cute TX clothes for the baby. Also, my mom and dad came to stay with me so I wouldn't have to be all alone. We have been having a nice, relaxing weekend. The baby is doing well and enjoying attention from Nana and Nani. I am thankful too, for all the help I am getting.

This weekend we also ordered the last piece of furniture (a glider chair) for the nursery. I also put together the quilt rack/shelf and hopefully dad and Jason will put it up sometime this week.
