Austin's first night flying solo
When we were in the hospital, Austin mostly slept in his portable-hospital-crib-on-wheels-thingie in our room. This was exhausting. If he made a noise, I checked on him. If he didn't make a noise, i figured something was wrong with him, so i checked on him.
Since coming home, he has either slept in our bed or when he did sleep in his crib, someone was in his room with him (Austin says: "thanks Nani/Nana!").
Last night, we decided that it was time for him to sleep alone. So we put him in his crib and setup the monitor. I went back to my habits from the hospital for the first couple of hours - checking on him way too often. Finally, either exhaustion set in, or i realized that baby's can breathe on their own, and let him go. He did great, the only times he woke were for his feedings on he needed a diaper change. I feel so refreshed! I think i actually slept 3 hours in a row last night!
So proud of my boy!
